Legends lead the Season 6 standings after Matchday 2 as JOVOC basketball team claim the Ankole Region Championship with a 67–65 win over Ntare School.

The JOVOC League Season 6 continued to gather momentum following an action-packed Matchday 2, with Legends emerging as early table leaders in what is shaping up to be a fiercely contested campaign.

After four matches played, Legends sit top of the standings with 10 points, narrowly ahead on goal difference (+8). They are closely followed by Abanihizi and Nsiikye Saints, who are level on points, underlining the competitiveness at the summit of the table.

Abezekyenda, with 9 points, remain firmly within reach of the leaders, while the mid-table positions reflect a tightly packed field. Abukyarire, Abomutumba, and Abakawuu are all tied on 7 points, highlighting the narrow margins separating teams across the league.

Further down, Entumwa (6 points) and Solutions, Abakuubwa, and Abakiiki (all on 5 points) continue to keep pace, with opportunities to climb the standings in the coming fixtures. At the lower end, Amajojo, Abaleni, and Abentima are under pressure to improve results, while Ntemi Chiefs and Eroboti, each with one point, face an early battle to turn around their campaigns.

With only two matchdays completed, the league remains wide open, with consistency and efficiency expected to play a decisive role in the weeks ahead.

Attention now turns to Matchday 3, scheduled for Sunday, 26th April 2026 at Kanyanya Ex Grounds, where teams will look to consolidate their positions or mount a resurgence.

Meanwhile, beyond league action, JOVOC continues to excel on the regional stage. The school's basketball team was recently crowned Ankole Region Basketball Champions following a closely contested final against long-time rivals Ntare School.

In a thrilling encounter, JOVOC secured a narrow 67–65 victory, demonstrating resilience and composure under pressure. The win earns the team the responsibility of representing the Western Region at the National level in May 2026.

The achievement has been widely attributed to the unwavering support of the school administration, led by Headmaster Rev. Fr. Katono B. Christopher, as well as the technical guidance of Coach Alex Byamukama, whose leadership has been instrumental in the team's success.

The JOVOC League also extended its appreciation to its partners for their continued support. These include UgandaFootball.Com (Official Data Partner), Ogu Media (Official Media Partner), Jovoc Basketball, Lotik Green Farm, Dental Access, Captano Events, Zora Drinking Water and The Klassroom Lounge.

As the season progresses and achievements continue both on and off the field, JOVOC's sporting ecosystem remains a testament to excellence, unity, and growth.
